Quicktime failed to start side-by-side configuration incorrect

I use quicktime to play some of my videos but just this morning when I tried to open it, it is throwing up this error, I didn’t do any changes in it's settings and it is working properly the other day, help anyone?

Quicktime failed to start side-by-side configuration incorrect

Hello Aron,

To resolve that issue, try using the following workarounds:

Method 1:

• On your computer, go to your C:Program FilesQuickTime folder,
• After that you will need to double-click on the QuickTimePlayer.exe file.
• See if you get an error message then.
• In case you do, you will need to check if it is the same error you are getting when you launch from the Start menu.

Method 2:

• You will need to try and uninstall the current version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable you have on your computer.
• After that you should download and then install the 2008 version which you can get from the following Focus support website: http://support.focus-home.fr/vcredist_x86.exe
