C00D10D1 Error When Changing Windows Media Player Settings
If you receive error code “C00D10D1” on Windows Media Player, try this. Click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Accessories” then right-click “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator” to open an elevated command prompt. If you are using Windows XP, no need to use the “Run as administrator” command. If Windows Media Player is running, close it first. In the command prompt window, type without quotes “regsvr32.exe l3codeca.acm” then hit Enter.
Start Windows Media Player again and see if it works. If this doesn’t work, start Windows Explorer then navigate to “C:\WINDOWS\system32” and then look for the file “l3codeca.acm”. Rename the file to “l3codeca.bak” or to something else. After this, start Windows Media Player then click “Help” and then select “Check for Updates.” This will download again the decoder and place a new copy on your system.
See if this works.
