Skype on Three Samsung Jet won’t connect to network

I have a Samsung S8000 Jet that has a Qualcomm MSM6246 chipset, 800 MHz CPU and Class 12 GPRS.  I use data with the Three network here in the UK.  Why can't Skype on Three Samsung Jet connect to the network?  Anyone having the same problems?

Hi Darnell,

It seems that you are only having a problem with Skype and not with browsing or any other application that requires data connection. If you have yet to try and install other similar software, it would be best to give it a try so that you know if the problem is on the phone or only isolated with Skype. How about via wi-fi? Does Skype work over wi-fi or not? Have you tried reinstalling Skype?  I suggest you try the following:

– Reinstall Skype

– Check if Skype works on wifi or not.

– Try other messaging software.

If all else fails and your phone is still under warranty, it would be best to check if this missing functionality is a good enough reason to get a replacement.
