Setting Excel 2007 by changing menu and ribbon in Excel 2011

Hi Marnie,

If you have noted the user's interface on both 2007 and 2011 platform are similar but they are a bit different if you closely study them. So this makes it quite impossible to make the 2007 and 2011 versions similar and to have the same feel. Though the menus work the same but there are small differences that differentiate the two versions. Even in there shortcuts you find some differences which differentiate the two versions. One we can say is an improvement of the other, if not then there would be no need to introduce another new version.

Thanks

Hi Marnine,

You cannot currently convert menu and ribbons in MS Excel 2011 to that of MS 2007.

“Classic Menu” programs are launched by Microsoft from time to time for users who don’t like to learn new user interface in Excel.

However, these programs are not available for 2011.

You can use Classic Menu program for MS Excel 2010 and 2013 as well wherein you can set menu as per MS 2007.
