I want to know the number of devices connected to the Wi-Fi router and also their IP addresses. So that I can make a remote connection to the device whenever to require. Is there any way on how to find what device is using an IP address?
You can use the routers settings page to access the list and details about each device that is connected to the router. Assuming that you know the username and password of the router.
Step 1: Open default gateway page through any device that is connected to Wi-Fi. It is possibly 192.168.1.1 for most of the routers.
Step 2: Open Interface setup and click on “Current pool summary” button.
Step 3: All the devices MAC address and their IP Address will be displayed.
If you have a Wi-Fi network at home and you wish to see the number of devices connected to your Wi-Fi network and their respective IP addresses, you can do this by simply logging in to your Wi-Fi router’s control panel. To do this, open your web browser then enter the IP address of your Wi-Fi router and then hit Enter.
You can find the default IP address of your Wi-Fi router at the bottom of the router itself or check with the manual. Mine is:
http://192.168.22.1
Be mindful when entering the http prefix. In wireless connection like 4G LTE, there are two IP addresses that users can access, one for the Wi-Fi router and the other for the outdoor antenna:
http://192.168.22.1
https://192.168.15.1
These two IP addresses are for my 4G LTE internet. The first IP address with “http” is the default IP address for the Wi-Fi router while the second with the “https” is the default IP address for the outdoor antenna. To access the Wi-Fi router control panel, you will be prompted with a username and password. You can find it at the bottom of the router itself.
Once you’re logged in, look for “DHCP Client List” or something similar. This lists all the devices that recently connected to the router, the IP addresses assigned to them by the router, and their respective MAC addresses.
