I have windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed and was wondering if someone can suggest me some hard disk checking tools download for windows 7.

Any kind of help would be appreciated in this regard.

There are several Hard Disk Checking Tools available for download that are compatible with windows 7 64 bit operating

System. The following are some that i can suggest you

 

1. Hitachi Drive Fitness Test: This is a free diagnostic software available for use on most drives available today

Beside these I suggest you to go for Microsoft windows Built in Error checking process. Below is the step by step

If you are looking for a disk utility application that you can use on your Windows 7 to check on your hard drive, the best application I’ve used so far is PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Follow the instructions to download and unpack the file. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.x. Microsoft Windows 10 is not officially supported but you can try it.

It requires Intel Pentium or equivalent faster processor, 512 MB RAM, and 100 MB hard drive space. Here’s a little background about this application. PC Tools, the company, was established in 2003 and was formerly known as “WinGuides.com”. In 2008, Symantec acquired the company and later discontinued the name “PC Tools”. It was headquartered in Luxembourg and had offices in Ireland, Australia, Ukraine, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Even after its acquisition in 2008, the PC Tools website is still up and running though it no longer provides any application.
