How to optimise chrome for low ram Desktop PC?

I am using low ram only 256 KBps and I am using google chrome browser. It is not fast as usual. Therefore I need to optimise chrome for low ram. So that I can keep working with my old Desktop PC. Please help me with best possible solution.

Hi there Calvin S Cole,

 

With such a small amount of RAM there is not much you can do to tweak up your browser, especially as the Google Chrome is quite heavy application.

 

You can try to tweak your Chrome and system a bit, but there's no guarantee that will significantly improve your computer speed.

 

First of all, while browsing kill all the necessary processes in your task manager. That will give your browser some memory to use.

 

Kill all the extensions installed in your Chrome. That can easily be done using the Tools – Extensions menu item.

 

Also, make sure you clean up your internet temporary files regularly, just as the cookies and cache.
