Hi,

I would like to have my old and previous emails in MS Outlook. The version of MS Office that I use in my laptop has MS Outlook and I wish to take advantage of the said software and important applications. However, there are problems because I cannot use it. I changed the applications on my computer from Windows 2003 to Windows 7, but to my dismay it was empty and did not have my old and saved emails. Please advice on this.

Retrieving your old emails from outlook 2003 is sometimes very difficult in some ways. If you ever moved your items from your Inbox to the other folders. The only way you can get them back is by then clicking the "Recover deleted files" option.

This is, unfortunately always disabled by default, so the user has always enabled it themselves. As far as I know Windows 7 does not support some old programs and your ms outlook 2007 could be one of them. So try installing the older version. If you deleted it from your hard disk then maybe it's gone forever.

Hello Coswell,

First of all make sure that your previous outlook profile is working well. Actually in Windows 7 there is a problem usually happens that Outlook 2007 does not work properly. If that does then it’s all fine.

I hope you already keep some backup files of those emails. If you have the pst files than the work is much easier. Just open the Outlook 2007 Window, go to file and click import and just select the file and click import button. That is all.

If you had deleted those and your Outlook is working properly then go to tool option from the dropdown menu select recover deleted items, another box will appear from there select the item you want to recover or retrieve.

Thank you,
