Hello everyone,
I wanted to have good antivirus software that will keep my computer safe from viruses. On a few forums I read about McAfee anti virus. I decided to try it. I am using Windows vista and everything was fine. But the next time I wanted to run antivirus I got error message. Had anyone experience like this?

McAfee Anti Virus error setup
Hello Bryceen,
The first thing that I will ask that you do is check is you have the .NET Framework installed, since mcafee may require that .NET Framework be installed for it to run, and therefore the resource that is required to load the mcafee file. And ensure that the .NET Framework you install is the right version for the windows vista that you are using.
Otherwise the problem may be as a result of malware or there are some .dll files that are missing hence the mcafee cannot be loaded. So I will suggest that you look for a program that will clean up your system from of any broken registry files, and in this case I will recommend ccleaner.
Hope this helps.

You need to check that you met the system requirements to met your requirements for your program. You can do this by simply checking your computer settings and your program settings.
Also check that you are not using two antivirus programs at the same time. If this is the problem then you can either remove the previous antivirus from your computer and then your antivirus program will work fine . Keep in mind that only one antivirus is effective in a case and you cannot install more than one antivirus program at the same time. So remove the previous copy of antivirus and then install the new one you require. It will solve your problem.
Also check that the copy of software you are installing is a valid copy of software and does not contain any error in the software. If you are downloading from the network then you need to check that you are getting the full version of your program.
