File Too Large For Destination

Often users report that when they try to send a file more than 4 GB to a flash drive it shows that not enough space is there for the file but when the users checks the availability of space in the flash drive there is more than enough. How to work around this problem?

File Too Large For Destination

This problem is generally seen in Windows NT environments where we often do not properly define sector allocation for flash drives to fit the files. If the file size is same as the size of one sector then often windows recognizes the file as too large. Easiest work around this problem can be achieved by the steps given below:

a) Right click on the flash drive and select format option

b) Have a look at the sector allocation and probably you will find it is set to 4092 bytes. Set it to default and format your flash drive.

c) After format has been completed remove and reinsert your drive. Now try copying and the problem should be solved.
