I was opening Blackboard Learning System in my Mac when I got this error message; see below.
Sorry, a system error occurred.
Unimplemented trap
To temporarily turn off extensions, restart and hold down the shift key.
I was scared because it’s a bomb error message and the program might have crashed.Â
Anyway, I did what the message suggested but I still got the same error.Â
Please help. I need the system to be up ASAP.Â

Got a bomb error message while opening a software in Mac

Unimplemented trap means that the system / application tried to call a routine which was not present.
This could happen either; you have performed an operating system update.
If it is happening during startup, then possibly there is an extension which is non-Apple/control panel not working properly
OR
It is expecting a newer or older version of the Operating System
Restart the system HOLDING DOWN THE SHIFT Key, and then try to removing any third part extensions / control panel one by one and adding them back again (reboot every time)
When the error starts again, that is the rogue extension

Hi,
You just check your application if there an corrupted files and then try to download the latest drivers from your software or update the version and the simply check the software or drivers of the Bios if it’s installed to your system or installed properly just check on that if its possible then check the slot if working properly from the your motherboard and then just simply try check the software if its suitable to your computer if it’s possible just check on that and then just simply try this one you just simply download the error repair tools to your computer then just install that to your PC then just scan the PC after that you just simply repair the founds errors to your computer.
