Hi Jean,
This might help you to figure what's right for your needs
When it comes to Cost
Online email sending services have a monthly fee or fee for the number of emails you send. For example, a monthly fee range from $7 to $5,000 or $10 to $500 for every 1000 emails. This would be a great choice if you only have a small business or with a lower scale of emails to send.
Email sending software, mostly in a one-time purchase cost with a range of $50 to $500 for standard versions and $180 to $1000 for professional packages. This is more cost effective than online email service when you have a large scale of emails to send.
When it comes to System Requirements
Email sending software is needed to be installed in your computer and you'll have to connect it into your SMTP server in order to send out emails. And the number of emails you can send, the speed of delivery for each emails and timeout depends on your SMTP server.
While online email sending services only need an internet connection. All you need to do is to login in your account, list all the emails recipients, create an email content then send.
Hope this could help.

If you need to send out newsletters to many different users or email addresses, sending those messages online would have to be done manually either using an email client or a web browser. If you do this, the process will be a lot longer to finish and will cover only a limited number of users.
But if you use an “email sending” software, the job will be much easier and will cover a greater number of users. This will also lessen the error that you might commit when sending them manually.
