Hi,
I have been playing the SIMS 3 ever since I installed it together with its expansion World Ambitions. Then awhile ago, I got this error saying that it’s not a valid application.Â
D: program FilesElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3GameBinTS3W.exe is not a valid Win32 Application.
I tried rebooting and relaunching the game, but I got the same error. I didn’t know what to do next. Only option was to reinstall but it would take time and wasn’t sure if I could recover my data.
Please help and advice on what to do to fix the problem.

Got an error while launching the SIMS 3
Hello Joysal,
Did you run the windows program updater recently? Because if you did so then it could have downloaded and installed wrong updates for your Sim 3 application, possibly 64 bit version updates while the program itself is a 32 bit application. Or if you made any modification to the application recently then that could be the possible cause of the problem.
I will suggest that you try running the system restore utility and restore the system to a previous time before you started experiencing that problem and see if it will be solved.
If the problem persists, then the remedy might just be reinstalling the application.
Hope this helps.

Got an error while launching the SIMS 3
Hi,
Make sure your software is install properly to your computer just check on that and then try to check the software if its compatible to your operating system or windows and then try this one download the new release version for the software and then check the installer if it’s there an corrupted file or maybe error files from the installer just check on that if it’s possible and then try to uninstall again the software to be clean up and then try to reinstall again from your computer then restart your computer to be safe only or to avoid problem again and then try to scan the system if it’s there an infected files from viruses and spyware to avoid any problem.
