Got an error while scanning PC using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Hi,
This is a common error when we cannot update our malware byte program continually.
This is an error for a specific database. You want to download from the website at “mbam rules.exe”. Link is given below:-
http://data-cdn.mbamupdates.com/tools/mbam-rules.exe
Firstly download this update and save to your hard disk. After download is complete, double click on it exe file. Run setup update wizard step by step.
After completing setup, your malware byte will run correctly and give no error.
Second if this will not help then try this solution:-
1 First uninstall “malware byte”.
2 Restart your computer.
3 Install a fresh copy of malware byte.
4 Run update successfully.

That error is occurring because you have not updated the Malwarebytes Antimalware database for a long time and therefore it is out of date. The database is out of date and therefore it is not effective to scan for malware on your computer. You will therefore need to do the following as the remedy to that problem.
-
Locate the Malwarebytes identity icon on your desktop task bar.
-
And then you will right click on it.
-
You will see an 'Update Database' option.
-
You will need to click on it.
Note that your computer must be connected to the internet since the application will go online to look for the database updates and install them.

This seems to be a type of a bug in the application. In order to get you issue resolved you must download and install mbam-rules.exe file in you system. On the other hand if you have updated to update 787 then you can still update regularly. To download the mbam-rules.exe fixer you can use this link: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/database/mbam-rules.exe
