How do I recover corrupted JPEG file online?

Hi.  My desktop that has an AMD Sempron processor, 2 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, 1 GB Nvidia GeForce Video Card and Windows XP was recently attacked by a Win32 Trojan virus.  It corrupted most of my JPEG files.  Is there a way to recover corrupted JPEG file online?  I don't want to install a third party application to save disk space.  Thanks.

How do I recover corrupted JPEG file online?

Hi Ace,

 The problem with jpeg files being corrupted is that, there are plenty of ways it could be corrupted. Sometimes it is the image header, sometimes the bit error occurs or sometimes part of the image is loaded and the rest is greyed out. Before we get into online recovery method, I suggest you to try the following:

• Rename the whole file along with extension and make sure you include "jpg" extension at the end
• Try opening the image with explorer, firefox, chrome, photoshop, gimp, etc.,

Most of the times this can solve the issue. Just when these things don't help check for the following websites that offer this recovery as service:
