I am using Windows and I need to write a theme and use many words.
Is Mac right for me to use or should I stay with the Windows?
And what are the professional variations between MS Office 2011 Home and Student Edition and MS Office 2011 Home Office Edition?

Difference between MS Office 2011 Editions
If you’re already having Windows, it is more efficient if you stay with Windows.
Because, if you want to use Mac OS, you need to buy Mac and office for Mac 2011. If you’re using windows then you just need to buy Office 2010.
Why office 2010? Because for windows there’s no Office 2011 yet, so you will stick on Office 2010.
Depend on your choices I’ll give you some review about office version. Generally speaking the difference between “Home and Student” and Home and business” is license.
While student version is for non commercial use and you can do some Commercial use with Business edition. If you use MS OFFICE for work then you should get Business edition

Difference between MS Office 2011 Editions
All I will recommend for you to do is to stick with the operating system that you know you are conversant with, and you will not be having trouble when using it. Some people will prefer to work with windows while some would rather work with Mac.
Both of them are very good operating system but our tastes differ, so you will need to choose what is best for you.
As for the variations between the MS Office 2011 Home and Student Edition and the MS Office 2011 Office Edition, the student edition will tend to have utilities that are basic and which are mostly used by students as opposed to the office edition that will have technical packages that are meant for solving office problems.

Techvy.com is really a great site!
Thanks Momford, I will probably stick to Windows.
As what you had said in your comparison, they almost have the same features.
Windows is also cheaper.
Thanks
