I installed ACD see 9 photo manager on my windows 7 but it is not working anymore.
The program only worked for about two days and then stopped.
I did uninstall then later installed it again but nothing changed.
Anyone with ideas on what I can do?
Installation issue of ACD Photo manager
Two things can cause this ACD related problem.
A) There is a corrupt image file.
B) ACD program somehow got damaged.
For the first problem, you need to set the view to thumbnail and move the mouse pointer on each image you have on your PC.
If any image does not show up properly then delete the image. Then try starting up ACD. For the second problem, uninstall the ACD. Backup all the images file to other folder. Then go start the Start > Run.
Type Regedit and press enter. The registry editor will open. Then click Edit Menu > Find > type ACD and press enter. Delete the registry info of ACD by pressing DEL. If any box prompts just press yes or OK. Now exit the registry editor. Delete the ACD main Folder from program files and Install ACD program again.
It will run properly.

Before installing a program like ACDsee, check the system requirements first and verify that your computer meets the requirements. For ACDsee Pro 9, it supports Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires Intel Pentium 3 or equivalent AMD Athlon or faster processor, 512 MB RAM, 310 MB free space, and 1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution.
For ACDsee Photo Manager 2009, if this is the version you installed, it supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista. It requires Intel Pentium 3 or equivalent AMD Athlon or better processor, 512 MB RAM, 100 MB free space, and 1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution. If you installed ACDsee Photo Manager 2009 on Windows 7 then that is the problem.
It may not be compatible with the operating system. Try starting the program in compatibility mode. Right-click ACDsee Photo Manager 2009 and select “Properties”. In the “Properties” window, go to “Compatibility” tab. In “Compatibility mode” section, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” then select a version of Windows XP or Windows Vista from the dropdown list and then click “OK”.
