Can Mono Framework act a substitute to Microsoft .NET Framework?

There are a number of applications that when I run, requires .NET Framework in Windows. I have tried severally to download but I have not been successful Once I downloaded the application on another computer and when I brought it to my computer it refused to install. Is Mono Framework a substitute for Microsoft .NET Framework? Does it have any system issues when run on a Windows platform?

Good day, please try downloading the latest .net framework from this website. To answer your question yes it is a substitute for Microsoft's .net framework. You may read more about it in this article here. To answer your second question, no it does not have any known issues with existing Windows platform.
