Usually files are large than what our emails accounts allow us. If you want to send a movie video to one of my friends. How can I compress a video file for email?

How can I compress a video file for an email?

Things get compress when they are large. That's why we need to compress them to make them simple. With the help of programs we can compress them.

Method 1- Using Compression software

Step 1: For the files larger than 4 GB, we need to download a compression program such as 7-Zip, WinRAR, Archiver.

Step 2: Adjust the compression settings accordingly. Select 7-Zip and then Add to archive. There you can change the compression settings.

Step 3: Split a file into multiple smaller files from a large compressed one.

Method 2- Compressing large videos

Step 1: Download and launch Avidemux.

Step 2: Load a video file. 

Step 3: Set to "Mpeg4 AVC (x264)" from "Video Output" drop-down menu and "Audio Output" to "AAC (Face)" and "Output Format" to "MP4 Mixer".

Step 4: In the Video Output section, click on Configure button.

Step 5: In the General tab, find the Rate Control button.

Step 6: From the drop-down menu, select video size and click on Save.
