Connection timed out a couple of times while downloading iOS 5

Hi,

I need to find out what happened to my iPhone. While I was downloading the iOS 5 at a crawling speed yesterday, my connection timed out a couple of times. Then at one time, while my iPhone was re-authenticating itself on the Apple server, my connection timed out, the screen flashed “Error 3200″.

Please try again later.

What does this mean? Can anyone help me out.

Connection timed out a couple of times while downloading iOS 5

Hi,

I faced the same problem with my iPhone. I contacted Apple support and also visited the Apple store. They could not help me at all. I contacted my friends who used iPhone and asked them. Some of them said that a simple restart of the phone would solve the problem. I tried it many times but I got the same error.

Then I thought it was a network error and tried to use different wireless networks. I also tried a different service provider but got the same error. Then I realized it is not a network problem.

So then I kept trying again and again for around 7 times and finally got it done. I guessed that it was some server problem.

I suggest you to keep trying repeatedly and have patience.
