I have lost my driver cd and I don't know where I can find my hardware names. So, I need a software to automatically download my drivers,. I am using a Dell and Windows XP.

You didn't mention what type of pc you have. Desktop or laptop etc. Nothing so problem.

Firstly you have to know your hardware name. There is two way. One is: just follow the instruction>> Start –> All Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools –> System Information. Should give you everything you need. And second is, you can use a software named CPU-Z. It is a small software, you can download and install.

I hope you will find your hardware name.

Then you have to go to the dell official website:  www.dell.com. Click Drivers and Download option under Support menu and download your desire driver as your operating system.

Hello Betty,

Locating drivers can be quite an arduous and frustrating task. Go to http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/products/?app=drivers and appropriately select the type of computer; if you select wrongly you would end up downloading drivers that you don’t need so be careful. After selecting your type of computer follow the prompt messages and you will be able to download the drivers you need.
