When I was about to open the Control Panel, an error   is coming which says that ‘You may be victim of software counterfeiting’. Please give me some solutions immediately. I am running Windows XP Professional SP3. Thanks in advance for the support.
Software Counterfeiting Error in Windows XP

Hi Jlopez,
It looks like that you are not using genuine Microsoft Operating System. Having not genuine software will end up losing all the privileges of updates and supports from Microsoft. And you will be disabled from other options when you update an illegal version. Asides from constant popping of message that you are a victim of counterfeiting and so on.
First of all please check if it’s a real message from the software not just some virus application hiding as an updates or whatsoever. Scan your system from viruses and trojans.
Next you should contact your vendors about the non original software they installed in your pc.
Finally if you’re really are aware that you have installed a fake one. Get a genuine copy to saves you from a lot of trouble and update it.

May be the control panel is disabled by you or by your administrator. So in this case you need to run as a safe mode and then you need to run as an admin her go to control Panel check all the user accounts and if you are able to change the account type then you will be able to solve your problem. It is the way you can solve your problem.
The other thing is that you have a virus in your computer that is disabling your control panel this is a system registry error so you need to find the virus and then you will be able to detect the virus. You can then also install the Antivirus program to check the virus and make your computer virus free, and it will work fine. All you need to do is to have a virus scan and then check your computer for virus. Also check your services to make sure that you have not disable your control panel form your system services.
