If you want to record your Skype video calls, you can use ManyCam. The application is available in three versions: free, standard, and studio. For a simple recording, you can download the free version. For Microsoft Windows, the latest version at the moment supports Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. It requires Intel Core i3 or faster processor and 2 GB RAM.
For Macintosh, it supports OS X 10.10 Yosemite, 10.11 El Capitan, 10.12 Sierra, and 10.13 High Sierra. Before you start recording, you need to configure the recording settings first. To do this, start ManyCam then go to “Settings” then “Recordings”. Configure the recording settings according to your preference.
Now, to start recording your Skype video calls, first, start ManyCam then make sure you can see the image being captured by your camera. If you don’t see it, go to “Settings” again and make sure your webcam is selected. When this is fixed, press the record button on ManyCam to start recording. On the left, there will be a timer showing the current length of the recording.
Start Skype then begin your video call. And that’s it. When you are finished, just click the “Stop recording” button to end your session. Now, to locate your recorded videos, open Windows Explorer then go to “C:\Users\[username]\Videos\ManyCam”. For Macintosh, you will find it in “/Users/[username]/Movies/ManyCam”.
