Hallo.
I have been trying to get my address cache in windows live mail to auto complete email addresses whenever I start typing but it is not working at all. Is there a particular setting somewhere in windows live mail where I can activate this service? Thanks in advance for your help.
Where can I find settings for address cache for windows live mail?
Hi Duncan,
Â
If you're trying to locate the folder where your windows live mail contacts are stored, you should be able to find it here:
C:UsersUserNameAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live Contacts{b5f3929f-ba60-4632-ad4e-b602b1c8e007}DBStorecontacts.edb
Â
Note that sometimes the Folders named DBstore and Contacts.edb are Hidden.
Â
There's another way if you want to export or import contacts on windows live mail
1. Go to live mail  Then click contacts, you'll find it on the bottom left..
2. On the top file you'll find import and export.
Â
Good luck.

Hello Duncan,
Windows Live Mail is an email account which allows you to send and receive messages from multiple email accounts. Autocomplete feature, on the other hand, is a feature which when enabled helps to complete the entry in the address bar as soon as you type in the few letters. The feature of Autocomplete will be turned on Windows  Live Mail by default. It is better to type the full address by selecting recipient in the new message window from the tools menu to avoid errors. With regards to your question, one better solution is for you to remove your account and add it again. Another important thing you should do is to have Windows update installed. You can install Windows update by clicking Windows logo. Choose Control Panel. From Control Panel, click System and Security and select Windows Update.
