WMFDist11 Setup Error
Setup has detected that the version of the Service Pack.
Installed on your system is lower than what is necessary to apply this hotfix.
At minimum, you must have Service Pack 2 installed.

WMFDist11 Setup Error Setup has detected version of the Service Pack
Hi Jayden,
wmfdist11.exe is a process linked with Windows media component Setup application. You windows detected an update related to this application.
But looks like you are using service pack 1 of windows. If you want to use this application you will have to upgrade your windows to service pack 2 or higher.
Or you can download this application from Microsoft for your service pack 1.

WMFDist11 Setup Error Setup has detected version of the Service Pack
Hello Jayden,
Hope you are doing well!
You were getting an error because the updates for Windows Media Component come with resolved fixes for earlier version.
Whenever any software update comes out in the market. It comes with pre-requirements and in your case you met all the criteria’s except one which was “Service Pack 2 or above”.
I would recommend you to go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/.
-
Go to downloads option.
-
Select Service pack center.
And you will see the latest service pack available on their website. Currently, service pack 2 and 3 both are available.
I’ve been using service pack since many years and have never ever faced any errors or problem, but it entirely depends on you to choose the service pack.
Download and install it then go ahead with the installation of wmfdist11.exe and you will face any problems.
