Could not delete Avast! from my computer completely

I need help uninstalling Avast! from my computer. I already uninstalled it but it is still visible in my Program Files. I uninstalled it again but I got an error message saying, “Action cannot be completed. Access is denied.” I tried removing the file directly from the Program Files folder but it asked me for permission to proceed so I went to change my security settings but I cannot modify anything in there. It just gave me this error message saying, “An error occurred while applying security information to C:Program Files. Access is denied. What should I do to resolve it? Thanks.

Could not delete Avast! from my computer completely

So you have uninstalled avast, and you cannot see it in the control panel, right? But then you are can still see its folder in the program files of your primary hard drive. You will need to do the following to remove avast completely:

• Go to start on your computer, and then click on My Computer.
• Click on the primary hard drive partition C: to open it.
• Click on program files in the next window.
• Locate the Avast antivirus folder, and then open it.
• Highlight all folder contents in that folder.
• And then delete them all.

You will also need to run the disk cleanup utility to remove any broken or unused files.

It may be due to some virus problem so you need to check any virus in your computer. moreover you can do these steps to solve your problems.

• reboot you computer by pressing the restart button form your computer.
• Once you are booting press F8 key  several times.
• You will be able to see some option list.
• Select SAFE mode and press enter.
• Boot your system in safe mode and then try to uninstall your program.
• Once you are in safe mode you will be able to delete your software.
• Only delete your software from add/remove programs available under control panel.
• First disable the program and then delete it.

I hope you will be able to delete your program.
