Hello all. I have a PowerPoint file which I saved as file protected. Right now, I wanted to rename it but it just happened that after renaming, it won’t accept my password at all. How can I rename this file? So I could not access it anymore and I would need to work with this huge presentation I have. I don’t want to do them again so please help me get through this problem. I’m using MS Office 2010. Thanks!

I do not think that changing the name of the PowerPoint document will have an effect on the password you had allocated to it and thus deny you the ability to open it. You may just have forgotten the password, and therefore you will need to remember and try opening the document again.

It is very important for you to remember your password that you have allocated to files you create in ms office. In case you forget your password, then Microsoft cannot be able retrieve it. You need to store the passwords, for instance by writing theme down in a secure place away from the information that they help protect. Loosing the password means that you cannot open or gain access to the password-protected presentation.
