Update Problems: Microsoft Office 2008 Update

Hello! My update just showed me this message. What could have gone wrong with it? I just updated it after I found out that there is an update available. Are their problems with the update?

Update Problems: Microsoft Office 2008 Update

Hello Noel,

1. Run disk Utility to change the permission of program
2. Check the folder’s permission for Microsoft Office, it should be as follows. User: Read & Write; admin: Read & Write and Everyone: Read Only. If there is different, make changes to it and press OK to finish.
3. If you still experience problem after update installation
4. You can shut down your computer and wait a little bit longer, it might do solve the problem.

Beside the step above, you also can try to uninstall and fresh install the MS office. Good luck

Update Problems: Microsoft Office 2008 Update

MS office 2008 sometime has that issue. It shows error on update. On my opinion, MS office 2007 is one of the best MS Office systems. You can try it.

When you face that kind of problems, you can try-

1. Ran repair permissions with Disk Utility
2. Verified MS Office folder's permissions are set as follows: User: Read & Write; admin: Read & Write and Everyone: Read Only. Permissions should be the same for all contents of that folder. All was OK there.
3. Still had problems after many attempts to install update
4. Power down with a long wait seemed to be the final trick.

You can try to re-install the version. Hope, it might work.
