Hallo there!

I have been using Microsoft Outlook for my emailing system, but lately I have tried to configure it to work to no avail. I wanted to try out something light and I have Eudora light in mind. My efforts to install Eudora have also failed miserably since the application has refused to install completely on my PC. I keep running it and it just collapses and gives me a message that the program did not install correctly and asks if I would like to install it again. What can I do to resolve this?

The problem you're encountering could be due to a number of reasons. First of all, I don't know what operating system your computer is running and what version of Eudora you are trying to install. So, you must check first if the Eudora version you're trying to install is compatible with your operating system. For Windows users, the latest version of Eudora is Eudora 8 that works perfectly from Windows 2000 to Windows 8 OS. If you're looking for a stable version of Eudora, there's the Eudora 7.1 that works with Windows 2000/XP. Now, just some few notes.

1. Installing Eudora on Windows requires that you log-in as administrator of your computer. This is especially true for older version of Windows like Windows XP.

2. A certain plug-in is required to be installed if you're going to use Eudora 7.1

As for MAC users, a stable version of Eudora 6.2.4 will work just fine for MAC OS X. However, for MAC Leopard, it is required that specific sounds are disabled for Eudora to work properly.
