While opening .mkv file with player I am getting error messages frequently

Hi experts,

I rebooted my machine after installing update version of VLC Media Player. But while opening an .mkv file with the player I am getting the error messages frequently. The screenshots of the messages is attached below. I do not know the reason behind it. Please help me to solve the problem.

Your suggestion in this regard is highly appreciated.

Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.

Check online for a solution and close the program

Close the program

Hello.

Usually mkv files are big in size and are of very high quality.

These files requires Microsoft visual c++ runtime library to be upto date and also may be the latest version of the vlc does not support the Microsoft visual c++ runtime library.

The other thing may be that while updating the vlc it should have run into a problem.

Re install the vlc media player and check whether the problem is solved.

It looks like you did not properly install VLC Media player and MP4 Media Player, and your CODEC may be outdated, so you need to download the latest version. .mkv files usually have high video resolution and sound quality. Windows cannot recognize this type of file, since this is not registered format with Windows. I suggest that you download K-Lite Codec to fix this issue. You can download it for free from this link.
