Hi techyv.com,

Can you guys explain what stress testing is in detail? How does it help? What will one get by stress testing Internet Explorer? And will it cause harm to hardware as it tries to push it to the limits?

Does stress testing harm your computer?

Hi,

There are number of stress testing software available in internet which you can download from this link.

However, periodic  stress test is not harmful for hardware. In short, stress testing is carried out through a software to check the optimum endurance and stability of the system hardware and to check different parameters of all the system components under extreme stress.

Afterwards, by proper analysis, any hardware related fault can be detected well in time before major damage to system and solved accordingly.
