I want to install firebug for firefox

I always love to use mozilla firefox  as my browser and just upgraded it to Firefox/2.0.0.14.  A friend told me to download firebug for firefox so that I can do automatic debugging but I had an error downloading it saying: Firefox could not install the add- on because of "download error -228. Please help!

I want to install firebug for firefox

Hello,

The error may be from the way you are installing the add on ,Try the method below.

-Open any indexes of version you want,https://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.6/

-Right click on any of the link and choose "save as"

-There will be one ".xpi" file which will be downloaded locally to your computer.

-Copy that .xpi file and paste it in your computer/server where there is no internet connection.

-In that PC/sever,open Firefox–>go to tools –>Add-ons

-Drag that copied .xpi file into Add-ons window and click on install

-Reconnect the internet connection then restart Firefox .
