I purchased this new Sony Vaio laptop. I am running a Windows 7 Operating System and my system specification is quite good enough to run my system fast. However, I downloaded this Norton Anti Virus and Constant guard as these are being offered b y Comcast. Since then, I notice that my system is running slow and applications started to crash.
So I uninstalled Norton Antivirus as this maybe causing the issue. I still experience crashing issues after uninstalling Norton. Therefore I conclude that it’s the Constant Guard that is causing the issue. I don’t know how to turn this off. Can you please provide instruction on how to shutdown constant guard?
Appreciate your help on this matter.
How to shutdown constant guard which is slowing my system
Hey Dibri Avery,
-
Click on the Start button on your desktop and select Control Panel.
-
Scroll down to “Programs and Features” and select “Constant Guard Protection Suite” from the list to uninstall it from the computer.
-
If you want to install it again then choose yes. After the window appears saying “save secure password file?” Click No if you don’t want to install it again.
-
Now you are all done. Just restart your computer after the uninstall process is completed.
If the crashing problem persists consult your system administrator because your windows might have virus issues or any illegal software issues. These kinds of issues involve incompatible installation of drivers. This specially happens in laptops because laptops come with company specific drivers which can cause malfunction in windows if not installed properly.
