I have recently migrated from a UNIX System to an AIX System and discovered that I am unable to carry out certain commands such as find. Type d! – empty. I think in an AIX system ‘empty’ is not recognized, while in UNIX it is. Can someone please tell me what to do? Thanks.
AIX System Not Accepting “Find” Command
That is probably because the two operating systems use different words for different commands, and therefore you will need to learn the commands that are used in the AIX operating system. Although you may find some of them to be same and also perform the same functionality in both operating systems, not all will be the same. So my suggestion will be that you go to the internet and look for tutorials or just access the sites where you will get more information of the AIX commands and how they are used. You will surely find them on the internet.
