Reinstalling Windows XP OS after Windows Server 2003

Please help me solve this issue…

I have a computer that originally run on a Windows XP OS. However, due to a certain task I had on running some test of some software programs that our company is considering to install; I had to install Windows Server 2003 standard. After conclusion of the test, I wanted to reinstall windows XP. However, this was not already possible since I was unable to find the option of uninstalling windows 2003. I cannot also format my local disk C as I am denied permission. I tried reinstalling XP from the CD but this also failed as it went on for a short time before it displays “no supported upgrades found.”

There might be several fixes for that problem that I will suggest that you try:
First, if your aim is to remove Windows Server 2003 which you are saying that you cannot find in the control panel, then I will suggest that you use the system restore utility to remove it. Run system restore and make sure that you restore the system to a time before you had installed Windows Server 2003 on your computer.
You can also remove windows 2003 by performing a clean installation of windows. Get the windows XP installation disk and then insert it in the DVD drive on your computer. Restart the computer and then choose to boot from the CD. The installation process will start and you will just need to follow the steps to the end.

hi,

if you want to get rid of windows 2003 and want to install windows xp without caring about your files, you can format the disc by inserting the Windows CD and restart your computer, and when it boots up select  boot from Cd option (you may have to set this option in the BIOS settings).

tip: you may also install both of windows XP and windows 2003 if you have two separated partitions; one in each partition,you can select this when the installation step arrives at selecting the partition.
