Word 2011 fully support Visual Basic for Applications?
Does Word 2011 fully support Visual Basic for Applications (VBA? I have a Word 2010 file and it contains macros. Do I need to edit my macros so that it can run efficiently in Word 2011?

Hi Jasmine,
Yes, Microsoft Office 2011 fully supports Visual basic for applications (VBA). It can now be accessed again by going to Tools > Macro Menu. You can now open your old files with macros on it on Microsoft Excel 2011 and it should run perfectly fine. You can also create new worksheets and run macros on them with no issues. No need for you to edit and amend your macros for it to run in Microsoft Office 2011. You will see that macros menu looks like the one in Excel 2004 with some addition on it. You can also take note that, Mac Macros are now more compatible with the Excel for windows.

I think VBA or Visual Basic for Applications is part of the Microsoft Office suite because it is required when you want to create macros within the application. Also, the macro you create is accessible only to the document where it was created. It cannot be transferred to another document by means of exporting.
If you want to use the same macro on another document, you need to copy the script and then recreate it on the other document. To access the macro in Microsoft Office Word, select “View” tab and click “Macros” at the upper right corner of the screen.
To view all the macros you created within the document, click “View Macros”. If you want to create a new macro, click “Record Macro”.
