I can’t hear my caller on my iphone

I have been using my iphone for more than year without any problem but lately it has started giving me problems. Whenever I am at home and only when I am at home (Strange but true), I experience hardships receiving calls on the iphone; I do not hear the person on the other side. In addition I have to repeat dialing severally to succeed in dialing. What is wrong with my Iphone? Thanks for helping.

Hello Sheena Lao, I have read your issue regarding your iPhone problem especially and only if you are at home. There have been issues with iPhone’s but yours is unique and very easy. Do you have any Apple stores or branches nearest or closest to your location? You can visit them for it because as I understand you only have these problems at home and not always.

You can also try calling the customer support desk and the number is 1-800-692-7753 or  1-800-MY-APPLE. I would highly suggest though that you can visit the center for any verification to fix the problem on your iPhone.

If you cannot hear the person on the other side when using your iphone, the cause for that could be the following:

  • The call volume settings are low. You will need to go to the volume settings and adjust them so that they have been set to maximum. If the volume is low then you cannot be able to hear the person on the other side.
  • The place that you are has network issues, and therefore you will need to locate a place that has the strongest signal and make the call from there.
  • The problem may also with the person on the other side. They may be at a place that has network issues, and to verify that you can just try calling somebody else and see if the call will go through without any issue.

I called the customer support desk. And got the same answer. It has something to do with the location and also about checking my audio settings on my call set up. Thanks guys. 🙂
