I want to setup my Outlook to startup automatically on logging to the Windows computer. However, before that I would like to confirm whether it is possible for others using the computer to view the emails I have send/received using the Outlook?
I want to setup my Outlook to startup automatically
Hi Leigh,
It depends on how your outlook is setup. If your outlook is setup the when it opens, it will ask for you user name and password, then other users could not read your email. They can only read it if you have provided them your credentials. If your outlook is setup to just start automatically without asking for user name and password, then yes they can read your email.
To set up your outlook to start on Start up, you need to go to Start > Run > Type msconfig > go to Startup tab > add Outlook. You can also try to copy the outlook icon on the Start up folder on Start > Programs > Startup.

In case you are using windows 7, you will need to use the following procedure to set outlook to start automatically when you start your computer:
-
You will need to click the Start button, and then click All Programs, and then click Microsoft Office.
-
In the list of available Office programs, you will need to right-click the icon of the program or those programs that you want to start automatically, and after that you will click Copy on the shortcut menu.
-
And then you will go to the All Programs list, you will need to right-click the Startup folder, and then you will click the Explore on the shortcut menu.
-
In the window that will open, you will need to click Organize, and thereafter you will click Paste.
