Hi guys.  I'm trying to use Quest Resource Updating Manager to restructure and migrate my active directory online.  I'm having a "The list of servers for this Workgroup is not currently available." error.  What does this mean?  I use Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

Hi Emileekeila,

It has been observed that this error occurs when a domain or Workgroup browse master is not accessible. This means that there's no nominated master browser. To resolve this you may do the following:

  1. Restart all computers in the Workgroup and retry the process.
  2. Make sure that the Computer Browser service is running. To check the status of your Computer Browser:

• From the Start Menu, right click "Computer" and select "Manage". The Computer Management window will be displayed.
• Click Services and Applications.
• Double click "Services".
• Double click "Computer Browser". If the Service status is Stopped, click Start then in the Startup Type dropdown, set to "Automatic".

I hope I answered your inquiry.
