Hello Techyv members.  I would like to ask what is streaming software libre wamp all about? I'm doing a research about this and I  need an expert opinion regarding this matter. Please also include its overview and key features. A review on it would also be great. I'll be looking forward for your answers.

What is streaming software libre wamp all about?

I tried searching for your "streaming software libre wamp" and all that there is in the internet is a WAMP server, but if you are referring to a streaming audio/video contents in a WAMP server software, then I can post my comment regarding your concerns.

Libre has been a trending term since the dawn of Libre Office, an open source and free software in contrast to the proprietary MS Office. Since then the term Libre is coined on certain software or applications running in Windows that you doesn't need to purchase, since libre is Spanish term for "free".

WAMP server is an opensource and an all free Apache + MySQL + PHP application running in a Windows environment, it has been derived and ported from LAMP, a Linux counterpart.

Installing and setting a WAMP server need a little expertise, since it would be setting up a webserver in your computer. Once this is done, this webserver can be accessed in the internet using its ip-address or optionally the web administrator can register and setup a domain name for this specific webserver, then install the necessary plugin in Apache (addition of a small module called Mod-H264) in able to stream audio/video files to the internet.

A key feature for this is that you won't need to purchase services for webservers and you manage your own webserver without limitation to bandwidths consumed in the process of streaming the videos/audio in the web.

Hi Roger Neil,

Wamp is a web server that is installed to run web based applications. There is no such thing as libre Wamp unless you are talking about Open Office Libre which is an Office like tool for Linux based Operating System.

You can download Wamp server from https://wamp5.software.informer.com/. This is a very powerful server that is installed to run applications online such as websites.
