Problem with Video Controller (VGA) Compatibility

The led light for "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" is indicating that there is a problem. I need the device to perform or else nothing of my games work,  and I am not very familiar about the driver, so I do not know why or where to download the right driver.  Please help.

Problem with Video Controller (VGA) Compatibility

Hi Shad,

First thing you need to do is to look for what is the model and version of your computer. If you know what the model of your computer is, you can then go to their website to look for the drivers that comes with the hardware installed on your computer. Once you found the correct drivers, you can download them and install on your computer.

Once you have the drivers installed, you can then go to your Device manager via Start > Settings Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. You can then see if your VGA is having an exclamation point or x mark on it.

Problem with Video Controller (VGA) Compatibility

The VGA drivers that you currently have on your computer may not be supporting well gaming applications and that is why compatibility issues are presented. You will need to rectify it as follows:

• On your computer click on start;
• And then locate My Computer.
• Right click on it and then choose System Properties.
• In the window that will open, you will need to click on device manager.
• The device manager window will open.
• You will need to locate the VGA drivers from the list of drivers and right click on them;
• And then choose to update them online.

You will need to have your computer connected to the computer since the drivers will be downloaded online and installed.
