I need to set up my working email address in my iPhone. However, when I try to do this, it asks a server name. I am using webmail and the internet, but I do not know the server name. Furthermore, I have no idea how to find the server name. I have only a webmail interface. Not any outlook or windows mail. I need your kind advice to solve this problem.
How to find my work email exchange server information?
In the beginning, you have to read the below information.
1. Exchange 2003 SP2 or higher version is needed for ActiveSync to work correctly.
2. In your system, a commercial SSL Certificate needs to be installed. Otherwise, it will face a legal problem and the cost of this SAN/UCC Certificate are just $60.
3. But if you are using Exchange 2003 in your computer then this certificate is not needed.
4. One more thing is that your Exchange server must have port 443 from firewall or router to the internal IP address.
Port 80 is required to connect router/firewall with the exchange server. So working with ActiveSync without a valid SSL Certificate is not adorable. Encrypted text is not recommended. Always use clear text for usernames/passwords/data transmission between the portable device and Exchange server.
Your actual work is starting now after of all these above criteria.
At first go to Setting's option to set up the Exchange Server account on your iPhone.
Just see the image. Now as, shown in red highlighted area on the image selects one by one Mail > Contacts > Calendars.
After this selection, you can see a screen and select the Add Account option.
Now a screen appears, which displays all the options for setting up email accounts on your iPhone. You can choose Microsoft Exchange Server from those options.
You can see a screen now saying about your account-related details.
