Query on the compatibility of shared calendar with Appleā€™s cloud computing system

I am considering getting a different operating system for my Mac. My family and I share a calendar using Gmail. Though we have different user accounts for Mac but all our devices and consoles have that shared calendar visible.

If I install the new operating system and the new cloud computing, will there be significant changes?

Will all devices still be able to view the calendars via Google or will they be restricted from making changes on that calendar?

I need an advice so that I could make the necessary changes.

Thank you!Ā

If you are using MAC OS in your Mac and is happy from it then don't go for any other OS. Windows is a bit messy when it comes to the cloud computing.

You said that your family shares the same calendar from Gmail. This means that the MAC OS has nothing do to with its sharing and will not have any significant changes once you migrate to any other operating system. However, it will be a bit complicated for both you and your family if you use other operating system with Apple cloud computing.

You also have to look that for which ever new cloud computing you are migrating on has this kind of features enabled in it or not? Because the cloud computing is still in the initial stages of its development so most companies don't have such features in their cloud system.

And lastly you asked if the devices will view the calendar via Google, yes they will be able to but they will face troubles in synchronizing the calendar.
