Hi.  I have a desktop that has an Intel i5 processor, 500 GB RAM, 1 GB Nvidia Graphics Card, 4 GB RAM and Linux Ubuntu.  I accidentally deleted some files that I would like to recover.  I tried using SoftPerfect file recovery for Linux but the recovered files got corrupted.  Is there any other way I can recover the files?

Hi Doriswneil,

There is the Recycle Bin version for Linus, I think it is called Trash or Rubbish Bin, Please check it first before using another program for your sake. If not, I am sorry but that SoftPerfect software can not recover files completely. Your last hope is by checking this trash bin and looking for the file that you have accidentally deleted.

Hi there Doriswneil,

First of all, I am really sorry to hear about your troubles. Sometimes files get corrupted during the recovery process. You can always try recovering them once again, using the same tool or another. If you choose another one, I would suggest you to try with  R-Studio for Linux. It is a very powerful tool that will most likely get you back whatever can be returned.
You can review it and download it from the following link: http://www.r-studio.com/data_recovery_linux/.

Best regards,
