How do I convert DVD to DVI for HD resolution?

Hello fellow Techyv members.  I want to convert DVD to DVI port for a 1080i HD resolution.  Is this possible and what other gadget or peripheral do I need for this?  Any help or suggestion would be very much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

How do I convert DVD to DVI for HD resolution?

Hello Donna,

What you are trying to do is possible and it is definitely worth a try. First of all, you're going to need an adapter which bridges your DVD's output cable to the cable that goes into your TV's DVI port . Usually it's an HDMI to DVI conversion, and you can get a visual picture of the adapter in the attachment below.

It is also possible to attach both your PC and DVD to the DVI port using a kvm switch.
