As shown in the image below, the CDex- Application was unsuccessful initializing correctly (0 × c0150002). Will I just hit Ok button to stop the application.

It's unfortunate your ran into this problem. Fortunately, there are a couple of things we can try. First, I suggest uninstall and re-installing the problem application. So uninstall the program but before re-installing, download and install Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable. Afterwards, re-install the problem CDex. If problem persists, install .NET Framework 4 from here.

There is one other solution to this problem that you may try. Follow these steps –

Download Windows Installer Cleanup utility from here and install it.

Launch Windows Install cleanup, a list of software installed on your computer will appear.

Select the program causing error and click ‘Remove’.

Now re-launch the setup of the program that caused the error and follow the prompts till process completes.
