Error with Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Installation

Hello to all Experts! I need help on installing Logitech® QuickCam Pro 9000.

When I downloaded and installed the recent version, I had an error with various issues.

The error says, I do not have enough disk space but I have 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM. There is either no running installation in the background. I am the administrator of my own PC.

I already restarted but still get the same error.

I am not so sure if the software I am trying to install is damage.

How can I fix this?

Logitech Webcam Software Installation

We were not able to install the software.

– not enough disk space. Be sure you have enough disk space on your computer to install this software.

– There is already another install in progress. Be sure that you are not trying to install other software at the same time.

– You do not have permission to install software on this computer. Log in as an administrator or check with your computer’s administrator.

– Your installation media is damaged. There may be some missing files. You can download the latest software from the Logitech website and try the install again.

– You can also restart your computer and attempt the software installation again.

Did you try everything that is written in the error? I think these might solve the issue for you.

  • You need close all other programs before doing it. A side note is that you should also close the antivirus for a while too.
  • When you run the setup file do it after right clicking on it and then selecting the Run as Administrator. or if you are in windows xp, do it as it is done in xp.
  • There might be the possibility that the file you downloaded is corrupted.

While searching in Google for you I found out that few adobe files are causing this trouble. So you should better try them too.

  1. The adobe update installer has some registries that are causing the issue. Download the Ccleaner and run the cleaner so that it does the registry cleaning for you. But if you are not successful with it then try the following steps.
  2. open start and in Run type regedit.
  3. In the next opened window look for the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZones
  4. If you are having this issue there will be an additional folder except for the 0,1,2,3,4 etc… Delete that folder and it will do the job for you.

That error couldn’t be related to disk space because the software only requires 73 MB of free space, too small to be a problem. If you keep getting this error, check the system requirements again and verify your computer meets those requirements. Download the latest driver instead, Logitech Webcam Software 2.51.828.0. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

Downloading the software again makes sure you are installing a working version. Try also running the installer as admin. Right-click the installer or the setup file and select “Run as administrator”. If this doesn’t work, disable your antivirus or internet security temporarily then try installing again.
