Does anyone have an idea as to why an excel file that is sent to a Windows 7 pc that runs Office 2003 is received as a PDF file?. This is a strange situation which I have never come across and I have been unable to rectify it. Your opinion will really help.

If the email that you have sent is being converted to a PDF file, most likely the person you are sending it to have set for it to be that way using PDF Maker. PDF Maker once configured on Outlook or Lotus Notes can convert an email coming in from a certain sender or all emails coming in to a specific mailbox to be transformed to a PDF file. You can try to install it on your outlook and you can go to Adobe PDF > Convert to Adobe PDF and select the emails you want to be converted or use the toolbar to replicate the situation.
