What is the best sound card brand for professional sound card recording?

Hey everyone,

I need a sound card for microphone recording. My current sound card produces a hissing noise when I plug in the microphone so I think it is time to get a new one. What sound card would be best for professional sound card recording?

First of all consider which software you are using.fromthere bit will give you guidelines on which one fits best,since audio interfaces are better than MIDI devices(comes with ASIO driver).Depending on the budget you have,the best ranges from $1000 onwards,and some cheap ones range around $200- $300.

What is the best sound card brand for professional sound card recording?

Hello Jose

Purchasing a new sound card usually depends on how much you are willing to spend. A professional sound card can reach even $1500.

However, if your budget is low and you don't want to spend very much, I recommend the Aureon 5.1 PCI from Terratec. A very good sound card at a reasonable price that I am sure can fulfill all your requirements.
