Hey,

I am adding the title tags to my search engine optimization tutorial and I had a few questions. How many words should be used and is there a limit to how many I can use? Also what is the actual structure for writing the title tag?

Title tags for search engine optimization tutorial

A title tag of a page should be informative and precise. Actually there are no word limit as such but you have to work according to the guideline of search engines. Take Google for example will fetch at least 70 characters of the title from your page. You can check this by a random search and note down the words of a result. According to me, you should have title upto 70 characters and meta upto 160.
